Even though we are still in early April, Samsung has already pushed this month’s security patch to several flagships and foldables. Now, midrange devices are joining in as well. The Galaxy A55 and Galaxy A56 have started receiving the April 2026 update, along with the Galaxy Z Flip 7, which missed it earlier when the Z Fold 7 received it.

Samsung expands the April 2026 update to several more devices

Samsung has begun rolling out the April 2026 security patch for the Galaxy A55 and A56 in its home market, South Korea. The update carries the build number A556SKSS7CZC2 for the former and A566SKSS6BZCG for the latter. The rollout should expand to other regions soon, possibly starting next week.

Additionally, Samsung has released this update for the Galaxy Z Flip 7. The Flip model was left out when the company pushed the April patch to a bunch of foldables earlier this week. As usual, the rollout is currently live in Korea, where users are getting the build number F766NKSS9AZCT. A global release may follow soon.

The April 2026 security patch fixes 47 security issues identified by Samsung, Google, and their partners. It mainly focuses on security improvements and does not bring major new features. Other devices that have already received the update include the Galaxy S26 series, S25 series, Z Fold 7, and the Z TriFold.

Looking ahead, the Galaxy A55 could receive the One UI 8.5 beta update soon, possibly alongside the Galaxy A35 in select regions. Beta builds for both devices have already appeared on Samsung’s internal test servers, suggesting that testing is underway. However, no beta builds have been spotted yet for the Galaxy A56. It also did not receive a beta update last time, so its chances remain uncertain for now.

If you own one of these devices, you can check for the April 2026 update by going to Settings > Software update > Download and install. Once downloaded, tap Install now.
