Galaxy A35, A36 and Flip 7 FE Surface with One UI 8.5 Beta Builds

Yesterday, the first One UI 8.5 beta builds for the Galaxy S23 series, Galaxy Z Fold 5, and Galaxy Z Flip 5 surfaced on test servers. Recently, more devices like the Galaxy A35, Galaxy A36, and Galaxy Z Flip 7 FE have also appeared with One UI 8.5 beta builds. This suggests that Samsung is actively preparing beta releases for these models. Like the S23 series, the rollout could happen as early as next week or the week after.
Samsung may soon roll out One UI 8.5 beta for Galaxy A35, A36, Flip 7 FE, and more
Samsung has already confirmed that One UI 8.5 beta would see a wider expansion in April, and the company now seems to be following that plan. The Korean variant of the Galaxy A35 has appeared with a One UI 8.5 beta build carrying the version A356NKSU8ZZD1. The global and United States variants could follow soon, as the expansion is unlikely to remain limited to Korea.
Its successor, the Galaxy A36, has also been spotted with a beta build. The SM-A366E variant has appeared with the build number A366EXXU8ZZD1, indicating that testing is underway for this model as well.
On the foldable side, the Galaxy Z Flip 7 FE has also surfaced with a One UI 8.5 beta build. The “B” variant, which is the global model, has been spotted with the build version F761BXXU9ZZD1. The standard Galaxy Z Flip 7 has already received the beta update in select regions, and now the Fan Edition variant seems to be next in line.
If the rollout begins soon, it could be available in regions like India, Korea, Germany, Poland, the United States, and the United Kingdom.
The Galaxy A55 may also appear with One UI 8.5 beta builds in the coming days, joining the program alongside the Galaxy A35. However, since the Galaxy A56 did not receive a One UI 8 beta earlier, it is unclear whether Samsung will include it this time.
While this beta expansion may excite many users, it could also delay the stable rollout. With more devices entering beta testing, Samsung will need time to release multiple updates and fix issues. Based on the current pace, the One UI 8.5 stable rollout may not begin anytime soon, likely not before early or mid-May. Let’s see how Samsung moves forward in the coming weeks.
