Samsung is working on several new budget smartphones, including the Galaxy A08, Galaxy M08, and Galaxy F08. Based on the company’s usual strategy, these devices will likely share much of the same core hardware while targeting different markets and sales channels.

Galaxy M08 and Galaxy F08 move one step closer to launch

Samsung has a long history of launching closely related Galaxy A, M, and F series phones with minor differences in design, features, or availability, particularly in markets like India. That appears to be the case with the Galaxy A08, Galaxy M08, and Galaxy F08 as well.

Following the Galaxy A08’s appearance in the Wi-Fi Alliance database, we have now spotted the Galaxy M08 and Galaxy F08. The two devices carry model numbers SM-M085F/DS and SM-E085F/DS, respectively. They were also spotted on GSMA IMEI database in June.

Keen-eyed Samsung fans may have already noticed how closely these model numbers resemble that of the Galaxy A08 (SM-A085F). The F suffix indicates the global variant, while DS simply denotes Dual SIM support.

As usual, the Wi-Fi Alliance certification doesn’t reveal any hardware details. However, we expect these devices to appear in more certification and regulatory databases over the coming weeks as they move closer to launch.

As for when that could happen, the Galaxy M07 and Galaxy F07 were unveiled in September 2025. If Samsung follows a similar release schedule this year, the Galaxy M08 and Galaxy F08 should also debut around the same time.
