Samsung is expanding its One UI 8.5 beta program to more devices after weeks of testing on the Galaxy S25 lineup. The company has now released the first beta update for the Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Flip 7, giving foldable users an early look at the new software that debuted with the Galaxy S26 series.

Based on Android 16, One UI 8.5 brings a range of refinements, system optimizations, and interface improvements designed to enhance the overall experience on Samsung devices. The Galaxy S26 series runs the new version out of the box, while the Galaxy S25 lineup may soon grab the stable update. Meanwhile, Samsung has started beta testing the update for foldables.

One UI 8.5 Beta is now live for the Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Flip 7 in Korea and the UK, with additional markets expected to join soon. The first beta build carries firmware version ZZC5 and weighs over 4.2GB (exact size may vary depending on the model and market). It bundles the February 2026 security patch alongside a myriad of new features and enhancements.

Interested users can participate in the beta through the Samsung Members app. For the Galaxy S25 lineup, the beta program is available in India, Germany, South Korea, Poland, the UK, and the US. It’s unclear if Samsung plans to release the beta for the foldable duo in the same six countries. The stable One UI 8.5 rollout for the Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Flip 7 may arrive in April or May.

The Galaxy S25 series, meanwhile, may receive the stable update later this month. The 2025 flagships recently picked up the seventh beta build with a bunch of bug fixes. We will let you know when Samsung confirms the stable rollout.
