Galaxy S26 FE Spotted with Android 17, Exynos Processor

Samsung’s next Fan Edition phone is starting to take shape. The Galaxy S26 FE has now surfaced on Geekbench, giving us an early look at what to expect. The device is expected in the second half of the year, around September and October.
Galaxy S26 FE may bring a modest performance bump
The US version of Samsung’s upcoming Galaxy S26 FE (model number SM-S741U) recently appeared on Geekbench, confirming an Exynos processor (via @yabhishekhd). The chipset in question has a deca-core CPU setup, featuring one Prime core at a peak frequency of 3.30GHz, two mid-cores at 2.75GHz, five more mid-cores at 2.36GHz, and two base cores at 1.80GHz. It integrates Samsung’s AMD-powered Xclipse 950 GPU.
These specs align perfectly with the Exynos 2500, which debuted with the Galaxy Z Flip 7 last year. Samsung also launched the Exynos 2600 with notable upgrades this year, but it typically uses previous-gen processors on FE phones. The Galaxy S25 FE, for example, launched after the Flip 7 running Exynos 2400. Shipping the Galaxy S26 FE with the Exynos 2500 also helps Samsung differentiate it from the Galaxy S26, which runs the Exynos 2600 in most global markets.
In Geekbench 6 tests, the device achieved a single-core score of 2,426 and a multi-core score of 8,004. That’s an improvement over the previous generation, but it still sits comfortably below the main flagships. The benchmark entry also shows the Galaxy S26 FE running Android 17 with 8GB of RAM. It’s unclear if Samsung will also offer a 12GB RAM variant. Storage options may include 128GB and 256GB.
With a likely Q3/Q4 2026 launch window, the Galaxy S26 FE is still a few months away. More details should emerge in the coming weeks as Samsung ramps up development and testing. Meanwhile, the Galaxy S25 FE is currently available for $649 on Samsung’s website.
