Samsung’s first bone-conduction earbuds haven’t appeared in leaks very often. While those sightings revealed bits and pieces about the upcoming earbuds, the company’s official branding remained unknown. That mystery may finally have been put to rest.
Galaxy Able official name confirmed via latest Galaxy Wearable app
We’ve dug into the latest Galaxy Wearable app version 2.2.70.26060861 and found clear references to Samsung’s upcoming earbuds. Inside the app’s code, the official name Galaxy Able appears directly in multiple places, confirming that Samsung has already finalized the branding. At the same time, Galaxy Buds Able still appears in parts of the code as an internal reference, while newer entries already use the final Galaxy Able name.

We also came across earlier evidence in Galaxy Wearable version 2.2.68.26010761, where a dedicated plugin package is already in place under com.samsung.accessory.ablemgr. This plugin appears to handle Galaxy Able within the ecosystem, suggesting that Samsung has been working on full support across multiple software versions.

Taken together, the presence of the finalized Galaxy Able naming, lingering internal codename references, and an active plugin package strongly points to an already well-prepared software foundation. While hardware details remain absent from the code, the backend structure shows that integration is already underway.
That said, there’s still a lot we don’t know about the device itself. More details about Galaxy Able with open-ear design are likely to surface as we get closer to launch. In the meantime, you can take a look at the design:
