Samsung may have just gained one of its most high-profile fans yet. During a recent meeting with South Korean President Lee Jae-myung at the Vatican, Pope Leo XIV unexpectedly revealed that he uses not one, but two Samsung products in his daily life. He carries a Galaxy smartphone and wears a Galaxy Watch too.
Pope Leo XIV is a Samsung fan
Samsung Galaxy devices are no strangers to high-profile users. From Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang reportedly carrying a Galaxy Z Fold 7 to Google and Meta executives being spotted with Galaxy phones during public appearances, Samsung’s devices have found their way into the hands of some influential figures. Now, another notable name can be added to that list.
During their meeting, Pope Leo XIV reportedly held up a black smartwatch and asked the South Korean president if he knew what it was. The answer was a Samsung Galaxy Watch. The Pope then went a step further, revealing that he also uses a Galaxy smartphone and drives a Hyundai vehicle.
The exchange reportedly took place during discussions on diplomacy and international relations. The two leaders discussed efforts to promote peace on the Korean Peninsula, preparations for World Youth Day 2027 in Seoul, and the possibility of a future papal visit to North Korea.
However, it was the Pope’s brief comments about his personal technology choices that quickly caught the attention of Samsung fans. The head of the Catholic Church didn’t reveal the exact Galaxy phone and Galaxy Watch models he owned. However, the revelation confirms that he relies on Samsung devices in his daily life.
Samsung’s Galaxy ecosystem has grown significantly over the past decade, offering everything from flagship smartphones and smartwatches to tablets, earbuds, and AI-powered features. The company will soon launch new foldables and watches, including an all-new Wide Fold.
