Samsung has now wrapped the One UI 8.5 stable rollout and now, the company is quietly working on its next major software update — Android 17-based One UI 9. As far as we know, Samsung will officially debut the stable version with the upcoming foldables. This roundup lists out all the devices that have appeared with One UI 9 test builds so far.

Samsung expands One UI 9 internal testing

Internal testing for One UI 9 has been live for a bunch of several Galaxy devices. The beta program is already live for the Galaxy S26 series, with other devices like the S25 lineup and Z7 foldables expected to join beta testing in the coming months. The stable version will debut with Samsung’s next line of foldables — the Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra, Galaxy Z Fold 8 (Wide), and Galaxy Z Flip 8.

As of now, these Galaxy devices have appeared with One UI 9 test builds on Samsung’s internal servers in select regions:

S series

Foldables

A series

M series

Galaxy F15 SammyGuru

F series

Tablets

More older flagship, foldable, tablet, and midrange Galaxy devices are expected to start appearing with One UI 9 test builds soon. This will happen as Samsung moves closer to the official rollout timeline.

As for changes, One UI 9 is not expected to be a massive overhaul like recent versions. Instead, Samsung seems focused on refining the software further with better readability, smoother animations, cleaner layouts, and a more simplified overall experience. That said, the update could introduce a few new features like Tap to Share. This feature may work similarly to AirDrop for quicker file transfers between devices.

One UI 9 is still in early development, and more details should become clearer as additional test builds appear. Samsung’s roadmap may also evolve over time. So, we will have to wait for more official announcements for a clearer picture.
