While the March and February 2026 security patch rollouts were slightly delayed, Samsung now seems to be back on track with the April 2026 security update. The Galaxy S26 series and Galaxy S25 series received it recently, and now foldables like the Galaxy Z Fold 7, Fold 6, Flip 6, and TriFold have also started getting the update.

Samsung begins April 2026 security update rollout for foldables

Samsung’s latest foldables, including the Galaxy Z Fold 7, Galaxy Z Flip 7 FE, and the Galaxy Z TriFold, have begun receiving the April 2026 security patch. As expected, the rollout has started in South Korea, which is usually the first region to get new updates. For these models, the update carries build numbers ending in AZCS.

Alongside these, Samsung has also started rolling out the April 2026 patch to its 2024 foldables. These include the Galaxy Z Fold 6, Galaxy Z Flip 6, and the Galaxy Z Fold Special Edition. Similar to the newer models, the rollout for these devices has also begun in South Korea. The PDA for these models ends in CZCS.

The April 2026 security patch focuses on improving system security and stability. It addresses more than 40 vulnerabilities identified by Samsung, Google, and their partners. While it does not introduce any major new features, it ensures that devices remain secure and up to date. The update should expand to more regions soon.

Looking ahead, the next update for a few of these foldables could hopefully be the stable One UI 8.5 release. Several of these devices have already entered beta testing in select regions, as Samsung continues to fix bugs before the final rollout.

If you own one of these devices and are in South Korea, you can check for the update by going to Settings > Software update > Download and install. Once downloaded, tap Install now. Make sure your device has enough battery and is not overheating before starting the installation.
