Galaxy Z Wide Fold Keeps Leaking and Making Us Want It

A lot of us are waiting for the One UI 8.5 update rollout to begin, but Samsung is busy working on One UI 9. The upcoming firmware builds have been circulating and are naturally revealing details about upcoming devices. Last week, we got a look at images of the Galaxy Z Wide Fold, and apparently, there’s more to uncover.
Check out the Galaxy Z Wide Fold in new animations
Our friends at Android Authority managed to get hold of an upcoming firmware build, which shows the animations and how the Galaxy Z Fold Wide’s cover screen looks. The visuals suggest a broader outer display, with software hints pointing to improved cover screen mirroring behavior. Take a look below.
If anything, this further confirms the 4:3 aspect ratio of the Galaxy Z Fold Wide and what the cover screen might look like. It resembles a passport, to put it simply, and could be more comfortable to hold thanks to the wider cover screen compared to what we see today on the Galaxy Z Fold 7.
But even with all these animations and images, they don’t quite do justice to what the actual product will look like. The Galaxy Z Wide Fold, Galaxy Z Fold 8, Galaxy Z Flip 8, and possibly a fourth foldable aren’t expected to arrive until summer, likely around July or August. So there’s still some time to go.
In the coming days, we can expect more details about these foldables, but for now, these animations are the best glimpse we have.
