Last week, One UI 8.5 beta builds appeared for several models on test servers, as expected. Now, the first One UI 8.5 beta build for the Galaxy A55 has been spotted on Samsungโ€™s test servers. This somewhat indicates that Samsung is preparing a beta release for it as well. This follows the Galaxy A35, which surfaced with a beta build last week.

Is Galaxy A55 next in line to pick up the One UI 8.5 beta update?

The Galaxy A55 has appeared with its first One UI 8.5 beta build in South Korea. Other regional variants are expected to follow soon. The model number is SM-A556S, and the build spotted is A556SKSU7ZZD3. As usual, this points towards a beta rollout in the near future. Possibly, it could happen within this week or the next, alongside the Galaxy A35 in select regions.

So far, other A series devices spotted with One UI 8.5 beta builds include the Galaxy A35, Galaxy A36 and Galaxy A54. This suggests that Samsung is actively expanding beta testing across the A series lineup.

We could see two to three One UI 8.5 beta updates for the Galaxy A55 and Galaxy A35. Samsung typically uses beta programs to fix bugs, gather user feedback and improve overall stability before the final release. As a result, it ensures a smoother experience for users.

The longer the beta testing continues, the later the stable rollout will be. At this pace, Samsung is likely to continue beta testing and expanding it throughout April. Therefore, this suggests that the stable One UI 8.5 update for the Galaxy S25 series and a few other devices may arrive sometime in May.

If the full rollout takes around three months, the update may not reach all eligible devices before August, assuming everything goes smoothly. A faster rollout is always possible, but based on past trends, it remains unlikely.
