Samsung continues to roll out the April 2026 security patch to more eligible models. The update started with the Galaxy S26 series last week and has now reached several other devices. Recently, the Galaxy S24 and Galaxy S23 series, along with their Fan Edition (FE) models, joined the rollout.

Samsung rolls out April 2026 security update to Galaxy S24 and S23 lineups

The Galaxy S24 and S23 lineups, which include four models each, are now getting Samsung’s April 2026 security patch. The rollout begins in South Korea, but users in other markets should get the update in a few days. The new firmware build number for the Galaxy S24, S24+, and S24 Ultra ends in CZCH, while the Galaxy S24 FE’s build number ends in CZD2.

For the Galaxy S23, S23+, and S23 Ultra, the April 2026 update carries firmware version EZCI (last four characters). That for the Galaxy S23 FE firmware ends in DZCH. None of the devices is getting anything more than this month’s security fixes. Samsung recently revealed that the April 2026 security patch includes fixes for 47 vulnerabilities across Android OS, One UI, and other device components.

The Galaxy S24 series and S24 FE have already joined the One UI 8.5 beta program in select regions. For the 2023 flagships, Samsung still appears to be preparing beta builds. The Galaxy S23 flagships recently appeared with One UI 8.5 beta test builds on internal servers, suggesting that a beta rollout could happen soon. However, no beta builds have been spotted yet for the Galaxy S23 FE, so its status remains unclear.

To install the April 2026 security update on your Galaxy device, go to Settings > Software update > Download and install. Once downloaded, tap Install now. Make sure your phone has enough battery and is not overheating before starting the installation.
