It’s all but confirmed that Samsung will unveil the new Galaxy Watch 9 alongside its foldables (Galaxy Z Fold 8, Galaxy Z Wide Fold, Galaxy Z Flip 8), and possibly a new Galaxy Watch Ultra sequel, in July. According to reports, Unpacked will take place in London on July 25, 2026. As we get closer, Samsung may have confirmed at least one of these.

Samsung accidentally confirms Galaxy Watch 9, or does it?

Samsung Canada may have accidentally listed the Galaxy Watch 9 in what looks like a lineup of smartwatches eligible for some trade-in promo. What’s worth noting, though, is that Samsung typically doesn’t allow trade-ins for newly released products right away, so this could simply be a placeholder.

Still, Samsung usually adds only products that are close to launch. Earlier today, the Galaxy A27 was also spotted, which adds some weight to the idea that the company is preparing new devices. It’s reasonable to assume that Samsung has, at the very least, confirmed the existence of the Galaxy Watch 9.

There’s more. SammyGuru writer Mohammed Khatri spotted the Galaxy Watch 9 on a test server back in March, where it appeared with the model number SM-L345U. Even earlier, in February, the same model number showed up in the GSMA IMEI database.

Rumors also suggest that the Galaxy Watch 9 could feature the Snapdragon Wear Elite chipset. On its own, that chip could bring a range of improvements over previous generations, potentially including 5G support, Bluetooth 5.3, ultra-wideband, and more.

On top of that, during a media briefing in Seoul last year, Samsung’s Jong Min Choi said the company plans to introduce several health-focused features in “future products such as Galaxy Watch 9 and Galaxy Watch 10.”
