One UI 8.5 Global Rollout Begins for Galaxy S25 FE and TriFold

Samsung is on a roll today. It is dropping One UI 8.5 updates left, right, and center. A global rollout is now underway for the Galaxy S25 FE and Galaxy Z TriFold as well. Other S25 models and 2025 foldables also recently picked up the update in global markets, after an initial release in Korea last week.
Galaxy S25 FE and TriFold also get One UI 8.5 globally
Samsung took its own sweet time to kick off the stable rollout of its One UI 8.5 update, which debuted with the Galaxy S26 series. After nearly five months of beta testing, the update finally arrived last week. The Galaxy S25 series, including the S25 FE and S25 Edge, as well as all 2025 foldables, received it, but only in Korea.
Earlier today, Samsung kicked off a global rollout. The Galaxy S25, S25+, S25 Ultra, S25 Edge, Fold 7, Flip 7, and Flip 7 FE have already received One UI 8.5 in the US and several other markets. The Galaxy S25 FE and Galaxy Z TriFold join them, completing the rollout for all 2025 flagships. Well, flagship tablets are still waiting for the update, but smartphones are now covered.
As usual, Samsung is rolling out One UI 8.5 in batches, so not everyone may receive the update simultaneously. However, it’s only a matter of time now, as the rollout is officially underway across the globe. Galaxy users can check for new updates on their phones from Settings > Software update > Download and install.
Samsung also recently released One UI 8.5 for its 2024 flagships, including the Galaxy S24 FE, S24, S24+, S24 Ultra, Fold 6, and Flip 6. The update is currently live in Korea, but users in other regions may not have to wait much longer. Samsung may begin a global rollout for these devices later this week. We will keep you posted.
