Samsung’s One UI 8.5 rollout is moving at a rapid pace. The company has already released the update globally for its 2025 flagship. Now, it has kicked off the stable rollout for its 2024 lineup. Alongside the Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Flip 6, the update is live for the Galaxy S24 series as well, including the FE model.

Galaxy S24 models get Samsung’s stable One UI 8.5 update

Last week, Samsung released One UI 8.5 for the Galaxy S25, S25 FE, S25+, S25 Edge, S25 Ultra, Fold 7, Flip 7, Flip 7 FE, and TriFold in Korea. All of these devices are now receiving the update globally, including the US and other markets where the company never launched beta programs. This basically means all 2025 flagships are now covered with One UI 8.5. As such, Samsung has shifted its focus to 2024 models.

As of this writing, One UI 8.5 is rolling out to Galaxy S24, S24+, S24 FE, and S24 Ultra users in South Korea. The new firmware build version is DZDR or DZDP, depending on the model. This follows an earlier release for the Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Flip 6, covering all 2024 flagships.

Samsung may release One UI 8.5 for all of these devices in global markets later this week. It may also soon start pushing the update to more devices, including some mid-range models. The company may want to complete the rollout by mid-July, if not earlier. It is gearing up to introduce One UI 9 (Android 17) in late July with the Galaxy Z Fold 8 and Flip 8.

Alongside UI enhancements, One UI 8.5 brings many new AI features and camera upgrades. However, older models don’t get everything, though Galaxy S24, S24+, S24 FE, and S24 Ultra users have plenty to look forward to. We will keep you posted as the update reaches more devices worldwide.
