Samsung has already released the April 2026 security patch for many flagship and midrange devices. Now, the company is expanding the update to more models across a wide range of product categories. The Galaxy A07, Galaxy A16 5G, Galaxy A35, Galaxy Tab Active 5 Pro, and Galaxy XCover 7 Pro have started receiving the update.

Samsung expands April 2026 update to more Galaxy devices

Starting with the budget A series lineup, the Galaxy A07 4G and Galaxy A16 5G are now getting the April 2026 security patch in regions like Thailand, Vietnam, Malaysia, and the Philippines. The updates carry build numbers A075FXXS5BZD2 and A166PXXS7CZD2, respectively.

Moving to the midrange segment, the Galaxy A35 has also joined the rollout. The Galaxy A55 received the update earlier this month, and now its sibling is getting it as well. The update is rolling out in Southeast Asia with firmware version A356EXXS9CZD5 and should expand to more regions soon.

On the tablet and rugged side, the Galaxy Tab Active 5 Pro is receiving the update in regions like Europe, Turkey, Australia, and Taiwan, while the Galaxy XCover 7 Pro has picked up the update in markets like Malaysia, the UAE, and Vietnam. These updates come with build numbers X356BXXS7BZD2 and G766BXXS7BZD1, respectively.

The April 2026 security patch fixes 47 vulnerabilities identified by Samsung, Google, and their partners. While it does not bring any major new features, it improves security and overall stability. Looking ahead, all these devices are expected to receive the Android 16 QPR2-based One UI 8.5 update. The rollout could begin around June, though we do not have an official timeline yet.

If you own any of these devices, you can check for the update by going to Settings > Software update > Download and install. Once downloaded, tap Install now. Stay tuned for further updates on One UI 8.5.
