The design of Samsung’s upcoming foldable Galaxy devices is no longer a secret, thanks to CAD-based renders (1, 2, 3). The phones have now surfaced on the web in dummy units, showing them in both folded and unfolded states. In addition, a case of the rumored wide model has also emerged.
Here’s a look at the Galaxy Z Fold 8, Z Wide Fold, and Z Flip 8
Samsung’s next-gen foldable lineup will reportedly include three devices: the Galaxy Z Fold 8, Z Wide Fold, and Z Flip 8. Tipster Sonny Dickson (@SonnyDickson) recently shared images of dummy units of all the models. As you can see in the images, the Fold 8 unit adopts a familiar book-style form factor, with a vertically positioned triple camera setup, similar to the predecessor, the Z Fold 7.
Speaking of the Wide Fold, the dummy unit shows wider screens (both outer and cover) than the standard Fold model. We can also see a dual camera setup on the rear, likely featuring a main (wide) and an ultrawide sensor. Previous leaks suggest the phone could boast a 4.7:3 aspect ratio for the outer display and a 4:3 ratio for the inner screen.
While the dummy unit doesn’t give the best look at the Wide Fold, you can see the leaked case images below for a better idea. The case is transparent, showing the phone’s overall shape and layout. It will be interesting to see whether this new design approach attracts foldable buyers worldwide. Samsung is reportedly introducing this model in response to Apple’s upcoming first foldable device, which could follow a similar direction.
Meanwhile, the Galaxy Z Flip 8 dummy unit suggests a familiar clamshell design with a dual-camera setup on the cover panel. Reports suggest the device is 0.5 mm thinner (folded) than the predecessor, the Galaxy Z Flip 7. The remaining dimensions appear largely similar.
Apart from the design, the circular rings on the dummy units hint at support for wireless charging. However, whether the phones will pack built-in magnets remains to be seen. All models could go official on July 22, 2026, at an event in London.
