Galaxy Z Flip 8 Clears FCC Certification Ahead of Launch

Samsung traditionally unveils the Flip and Fold models in summer. This year, it plans to introduce the Galaxy Z Flip 8, Galaxy Z Fold 8, and Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra together. With FCC approval already in place, Samsung is preparing to announce these devices on July 22 reportedly at a London event.
Galaxy Z Flip 8 passes FCC as launch nears
Folks over at 91mobiles reported that the Galaxy Z Flip 8 was spotted on FCC bearing model number SM‑F776U. If anything, that confirms the launch is on the horizon. Meanwhile, the SGS-Fimko and BIS also certified the device, showing Samsung’s push to secure approvals across multiple markets.
As one may expect, the FCC listing reveals that the Galaxy Z Flip 8 will support 5G, NFC, wireless charging, and wireless power sharing. Moreover, other reports suggest it will launch with either the Exynos 2600 or the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5. Both processors deliver flagship performance in a compact, pocket‑sized smartphone. Samsung already uses the same chip in the Galaxy S26 and S26+ in selected regions.
The Galaxy Z Flip 8 may feature a 6.9‑inch foldable Dynamic AMOLED 2X display with a 120Hz refresh rate, paired with a 4.1‑inch cover screen. Camera upgrades may include a 50MP main sensor, a 12MP ultrawide lens, and a 10MP front camera. And under the hood, it will pack a 4,300mAh battery with 25W fast charging. Samsung will ship the Galaxy Z Flip 8 with Android 17-based One UI 9, and Gemini Intelligence features.
