Samsung is expanding its Art Store lineup with a new partnership with MUNCH. It brings a large selection of works by Edvard Munch to its TV platform. The collaboration adds 37 artworks, including some of the artist’s most recognizable pieces.

The Scream and more Munch artworks arrive on Samsung TVs

The collection includes major works like The Scream, The Dance of Life, and Melancholy, alongside lesser-know pieces like Garden with Trees and Two People at Table. Some of these works are rarely displayed in public because of their fragile conditions. This makes this digital release one of the few ways audiences can access them outside controlled archival environments.

Samsung says the goal is to expand access to Munch’s archive beyond its physical location in Oslo. While museums typically limit exposure to delicate works to preserve them, digitization lets these pieces reach a global audience without risking further deterioration. That’s where platforms like the Art Store help.

The collection will be available exclusively through the Samsung Art Store across supported TVs, including The Frame, Neo QLED, OLED, and Micro RGB models. These displays are designed to replicate a gallery-like look with matte finishes and calibrated colors. With this addition, Samsung says its Art Store now offers more than 5,000 artworks from various museums, galleries, and artists.

In a statement, Samsung Nordics’s TV and Audio Director, Tommy Nilsson, said:

“Samsung creates products that inspire people and help them express themselves through design and culture. With Samsung Art Store, we make world-class art available to millions of people, and through this collaboration with MUNCH, we are bringing an important part of European artistic heritage into people’s homes.”

Meanwhile, Tone Hansen, Director of MUNCH, added:

“This collaboration is an exciting opportunity to share Edvard Munch’s art with audiences beyond the museum’s walls in Oslo. Through Samsung’s global reach and Art TV technology, we can make Munch’s work more accessible to people around the world, and we are incredibly honored to collaborate with Samsung on this meaningful initiative.”
