Galaxy Z Fold 8, Galaxy Z Flip 8 Bag India’s BIS Certification

It’s now only a matter of a few weeks until Samsung pulls the curtain back on its new foldables. These will be the Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra, Galaxy Z Fold 8 (Wide), and the Galaxy Z Flip 8. As we get closer, the Galaxy Z Fold 8 and Galaxy Z Flip 8 have now cleared Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) certification as well.
After Fold 8 Ultra, Galaxy Z Fold 8 and Flip 8 surface on BIS
Earlier today, we reported that the Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra cleared BIS certification, and now the other two have followed, the Galaxy Z Fold 8 and Galaxy Z Flip 8. While these regulatory listings don’t reveal specifications, they confirm all three foldables are getting closer to launch, hinting at an imminent global debut.
Going by previous reports, these three foldables, along with new Galaxy Watches, could break cover on July 22 at the Unpacked event in London. Further, the batteries of all these foldables were spotted on BIS two months ago, and now the actual devices are coming into the picture.
The upcoming foldables will debut with One UI 9, based on Android 17. The beta program is already live, but only for a select few devices. Eligibility could expand to more phones in the coming weeks, but Samsung also remains busy pushing One UI 8.5 stable rollout.
If you’re planning to buy any of these foldables, the Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra, Galaxy Z Fold 8, or Galaxy Z Flip 8, in the US, you can claim a bunch of free gifts. This comes as part of a mystery box at no extra cost, and you can already sign up to receive updates as these phones go on sale shortly after the launch event.
