Starting with the Galaxy M07, the device is now receiving the April 2026 security update in regions like India. The update carries build number M075FXXS5BZD3. On the other hand, Samsungโs Galaxy F07, which is the sibling of the Galaxy M07, has also started receiving the same update in India and Sri Lanka. It comes with build number E075FXXS5BZD3.
Moving to the Galaxy F16, the device is now picking up the April 2026 update in India and Sri Lanka as well, with firmware version E166PXXS5CZD2. Its M series counterpart, the Galaxy M16, has also received the update.
The April 2026 security patch addresses 47 vulnerabilities identified by Samsung, Google and partner companies. While it does not introduce any major new features, it improves security, stability and overall user safety.
Looking ahead, the next major update for these devices will be Android 16 QPR2-based One UI 8.5. These models have already appeared on internal test servers, confirming that development is underway. The update is expected to bring smoother animations, a cleaner and more compact design, better customization options and an improved overall experience. The rollout could begin around the end of June. However, the final timeline depends on Samsung.
If you own any of these Galaxy devices, you can check for the update by going to Settings > Software update > Download and install. Once downloaded, tap Install now. Your device will restart and install the update.
