Here’s When Your Device Could Get the Stable One UI 8.5 Update

Samsung is expected to release the stable One UI 8.5 update for the Galaxy S25 series in South Korea later this month. After that, the company will gradually expand the rollout to more regions and models. Flagships should get priority, though Samsung also tends to delay updates for older devices. Based on past patterns, we have curated an expected One UI 8.5 rollout timeline for select popular models, which you can see below.
Expected One UI 8.5 rollout timeline
Starting with the Galaxy S25 lineup, all models — Galaxy S25, S25+, S25 Ultra, S25 FE, and S25 Edge — are expected to receive the One UI 8.5 stable update on April 30 in South Korea. Users in other regions, including the United States, could start getting the update around May 4. This is based on earlier leaks and information shared by customer care.

After this, Samsung may expand the rollout around the second week of May. Devices like the Galaxy Z Fold 7, Galaxy Z Flip 7, Galaxy Z Flip 7 FE, Galaxy Z TriFold, and the Galaxy S24 series could be next in line. Later in May, more devices, such as the Galaxy Z Fold 6, Galaxy Z Flip 6, Fold Special Edition, Galaxy A36, Galaxy A56, and the Galaxy Tab S11 lineup, may also start receiving the update.
A wider rollout should begin in June. By this time, all recent flagships and foldable devices should to receive the update. Samsung may then expand it to older flagships like the Galaxy S23 series and more A series devices, such as the Galaxy A35, Galaxy A55, Galaxy A34, and Galaxy A54. Some M and F series devices could join as well.
Moreover, tablets like the Galaxy Tab S10 and Tab S9 lineup, along with a few XCover devices, may get the update during this phase. By July, Samsung should complete the rollout for most eligible devices. A few models may receive it later due to bugs or delays.
As mentioned above, this timeline is based on past patterns and current leaks. The final rollout plan depends on Samsung, and it may speed things up or delay the rollout for certain devices. We should get a clearer picture once the official rollout schedule is out.
