Samsung may have dropped a clue about its upcoming premium foldable smartphone. The company quietly included the phrase “Unfold Ultra” in its latest Galaxy Unpacked infographic. This adds more fuel to speculation about a possible Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra.
Samsung shares Galaxy Unpacked infographic ahead of next event
Samsung has shared an infographic that looks back at the history of Galaxy Unpacked events. The company highlights the host cities that have welcomed its flagship smartphone launches, including Seoul in 2023, Paris in 2024, and Brooklyn in 2025. This year, London will host the summer Galaxy Unpacked event on July 22. At the event, Samsung may unveil three foldables: the Galaxy Z Fold 8, Z Fold 8 Ultra, and Z Flip 8.
“From immersive citywide campaigns to venues inspired by local heritage, each event has reflected the spirit of its host city while showcasing the latest Galaxy innovations,” the company wrote in its Newsroom post.

At first glance, the infographic appears to be a simple timeline of Samsung’s global launch events. However, a closer look reveals an interesting detail in the section on the 2025 Brooklyn event. Samsung included the words “Unfold Ultra.” This suggests that the next-gen high-end foldable could indeed launch as the Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra, succeeding the Galaxy Z Fold 7. The moniker previously appeared in listings from the NBTC and Wireless Power Consortium (WPC).
The use of “Ultra” has become a key part of Samsung’s flagship devices. The company already offers Ultra models in its Galaxy S smartphone series, Galaxy Tab lineup, and Galaxy Watch family. It looks like the company is now gearing up to expand the Ultra brand to its foldable phones.

Furthermore, the infographic also includes the tagline “A New Shape Unfolds” for the London event. It could hint at the rumored Galaxy Z Fold 8, expected to adopt a book-style design with a shorter and wider form factor. Reservations are now live on the official website for the upcoming Galaxy foldables.
