Samsung Rolls Out July 2026 Update to a Dozen Galaxy Tablets

Samsung has already released the July 2026 security update for a bunch of Galaxy devices. Now, the company is turning its attention to tablets. Samsung has started rolling out the July 2026 Security Maintenance Release (SMR) to as many as twelve Galaxy tablets, including the Galaxy Tab S9, Galaxy Tab S10+, Galaxy Tab S10 FE, and the Galaxy Tab A11.

The update for all of them is currently live in South Korea, with more regions expected to join over the coming days. Below is the list of Galaxy tablets that have recently picked up the July 2026 security update with the firmware numbers for cellular variants mentioned as well:

As expected, don’t look for any new features here. Since this is a security release and not a feature update, the focus remains on improving system security and stability. The July 2026 security patch fixes a whopping 57 security issues identified by Samsung, Google, and other industry partners, making it a recommended install for all eligible Galaxy users.

If you own any of these Galaxy tablets and reside in Korea, you can check for the new update by going to Settings > Software update > Download and install.

All of these tablets are currently running One UI 8.5. Meanwhile, Samsung has already started internal Android 17-based One UI 9 testing for many of them behind the scenes. The stable rollout is still some time away, though. Samsung is expected to begin rolling out One UI 9 to eligible Galaxy devices during the final quarter of this year, after expanding the beta program to a few older flagships and foldables.
