Here comes another week, and this one’s particularly interesting. Samsung has rolled out a bunch of updates, and yes, the One UI 8.5 stable rollout is now underway, which is frankly the biggest news at the moment. It took about ten beta rounds, but the update is now rolling out in full swing. At the same time, Samsung has also been pushing to complete the April 2026 security update for the remaining devices. Last updated on May 10.

One UI 8.5 stable finally rolls out to a bunch of Galaxy devices

As expected, One UI 8.5 stable is now rolling out to a range of Galaxy devices. The entire Galaxy S25 series is receiving the update, and last year’s foldables are also joining in, although it’s currently limited to Korea. Other regions should start getting it in the coming days. Below, you can take a look at all the Galaxy devices that received One UI 8.5 stable this week.

So, how do you update your Galaxy to the latest One UI 8.5 stable? Head to Settings > Software update. If you don’t see the update there, it hasn’t arrived yet. If you do see it, tap Download and install. Once the file is downloaded, tap Install now. It’ll take some time, after which your device will reboot with the latest One UI 8.5 stable update.

April 2026 security update rolled out as usual

Now, let’s talk about the Galaxy devices for which Samsung continued the April 2026 security update rollout. It’s not as extensive as in previous weeks, for obvious reasons, since we’re now in May and most of these devices have already received the update. Below, you can take a look at those Galaxy devices:

S series

A series

M series

F series

Tab series

XCover series

If you see your Galaxy device in the list, head to Settings > Software update > Download and install. Once the update file is downloaded, tap Install now. It will take some time for the update to be installed, and once done, it will reboot running the latest security update.

Stability update rolling out for select Galaxy Buds

While smaller than others on this list, Samsung also rolled out a stability update for the Galaxy Buds 3 and Galaxy Buds 3 Pro. The latest update is currently rolling out in Korea and will expand to other regions soon. The build version for these devices is AZD2.

In addition, the Galaxy Buds 4 and Galaxy Buds 4 Pro are also getting their first update. This is again a stability update, which usually brings only a few fixes, but it’s still worth keeping your Galaxy Buds updated to avoid any issues. The build version is the same as their predecessors, AZD2. It’s currently limited to South Korea, and the update should reach more regions in the coming days.

Here’s how you can update your Galaxy Buds. If you own Galaxy Buds and use older software, update them via the Galaxy Wearable app: connect earbuds, open Earbuds settings, select Software update, then Download and install, and tap Install now. On One UI 8 or newer, use phone Settings, select your buds, and follow the same update steps.

Note: If you’ve received any update on your Samsung Galaxy this week and we didn’t mention it in this weekly roundup, you can write to us at [email protected] or DM @Mohammed_K_2010 on X. We’ll be back next week, same day, with another roundup of weekly updates. Ciao.
