OnePlus’ global footprint appears to be shrinking. After scaling back operations in parts of Europe, the company now seems to be reducing its presence in the UK and the US as well. The development comes amid reports of OnePlus merging operations with its sister brand Realme in some regions, potentially leaving Samsung with one fewer major rival in several markets.

OnePlus phones are becoming harder to buy in the US and UK

Reports of a broader restructuring involving OPPO and its sister brands OnePlus and Realme have been circulating for months. OnePlus has already been winding down operations across several European markets, with its website now redirecting to OPPO phones in some EU countries. It appears the firm could shrink further in the coming months.

The clearest sign comes from OnePlus’ own online stores. As reported by Android Authority, the company’s latest flagship phones, including the OnePlus 15 series, as well as some older models, are out of stock in the UK. The same applies to tablets like the OnePlus Pad 3, while the Pad 4 isn’t even listed. OnePlus has also narrowed its product lineup in the US.

Not just the official online store, OnePlus phones are also hard to find on third-party channels like Best Buy and Amazon. If anything, this indicates that the company may be gradually pulling out of these markets. Its exit in the UK and the US would give Samsung more headroom in the Android space.

Of course, OnePlus losing momentum won’t have a dramatic impact on Samsung’s sales overnight. OnePlus has never approached its scale globally, but it has carved out a loyal following among Android enthusiasts. As that competition fades in more regions, Samsung’s position becomes even stronger. Galaxy devices could become the default choice for even more consumers looking for a premium Android phone.
