Another Sunday, and we’re back with another weekly roundup. This week was largely dominated by One UI 9 developments and security patch releases, while One UI 8.5 activity slowed down as expected. Samsung rolled out One UI 9 beta 3 for the Galaxy S26 series, expanded the June 2026 security patch to more than 30 Galaxy devices, and also released the May 2026 update for a few remaining models. Last updated on June 21, 2026.

One UI 9 beta 3 for Galaxy S26 goes live, Android 17 testing expands, and June 2026 update hits more devices

Starting with One UI 9 beta 3. As promised, Samsung released the third beta update for the Galaxy S26 series in Korea, Germany, the US and the UK. In India and Poland, the same build arrived as One UI 9 beta 2 since those countries did not participate in the first beta round.

One UI 9 testing also expanded to more Galaxy devices this week. The first Android 17-based One UI 9 builds appeared on Samsung’s servers for the Galaxy S24 series, Galaxy S23 series, Galaxy S24 FE, Galaxy Tab S10 series, Galaxy A56 and Galaxy A16 5G. More devices are expected to join the list in the coming weeks as Samsung continues expanding development ahead of the official rollout.

As for One UI 8.5, Samsung released the update for a few more Galaxy devices this week. However, the rollout is entering its final phase, with only a handful of eligible models still waiting for the Android 16 QPR2-based update. Coming to security updates, Samsung had a very busy week. The company expanded the June 2026 security patch to a wide range of Galaxy devices, ranging from top-tier flagships to budget Galaxy A series models. In total, more than 30 devices received the update. The June 2026 patch fixes 45 security vulnerabilities identified by Samsung, Google and industry partners, making it a recommended update. Below is the list of models that got the June 2026 update this week:

As always, we track only major regional rollouts. If your Galaxy device isn’t on the list yet, don’t worry. Samsung releases updates in phases, so it may take a little longer to reach your region or CSC. If we missed your device, feel free to send me a DM on X at @Mohammed_K_2010 and we’ll have your model added!

To install the latest update on your Galaxy, go to Settings > Software update > Download and install. Once the update appears and finishes downloading, tap Install now. Your device will reboot and the latest changes will be applied.
