Samsung continues to roll out its March 2026 security update to Galaxy smartphones. The latest patch now hits several older mid-range, flagship, and foldable devices, improving their security. As usual, the company has begun the rollout in South Korea, though it should reach other regions in the coming weeks.

Several older Galaxy devices grabs March 2026 security update

Samsung’s Galaxy A54 and Galaxy A55 are now receiving the March 2026 patch. These mid-range phones come with firmware versions EZC1 and CZC1, respectively. The company is also pushing the update to its Galaxy S23 trio (S23, S23+, S23 Ultra) and Galaxy S23 FE. The former carries the firmware version EZC2, while the latter bears DZC1.

Furthermore, Samsung has released the update to its older foldable models as well. The Galaxy Z Fold 5 and Galaxy Z Flip 5 are now receiving the patch with firmware version FZC1. Likewise, the Galaxy Z Fold 4 and Galaxy Z Flip 4 are picking up the update with firmware version IZC1.

With the March 2026 security update, Samsung brings around 60 fixes for Android and 7 patches for One UI. So, you should install the update as soon as possible to keep the phone secure. To do so, head over to this path: Settings > Software update > Download and install. Make sure to restart your device after the download is complete to apply the patch properly.

While this update improves overall security, Samsung is also readying a feature-packed software upgrade for its Galaxy devices, including the above-mentioned models. The company will push the Android 16-based One UI 8.5 update, bringing a fresh software experience.

If you own a Galaxy S26 model, you can experience the new software right away, as it ships with it. Meanwhile, the Galaxy S25 series, Galaxy Z Fold 7, and Galaxy Z Flip 7 are currently part of the beta program. They should receive the stable update in the coming weeks.
