Breaking! One UI 8.5 Beta Live For Galaxy Z Fold 6 And Flip 6

Samsung has officially launched the One UI 8.5 Beta program for its 2024 foldables, the Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Galaxy Z Flip 6. The company had already rolled out the beta earlier this month for their successors, the Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Flip 7. Now, it’s time for the previous generation to join the program. The update is currently live in Samsung’s home country, South Korea. Other regions are expected to follow soon.
One UI 8.5 Beta rolls out to Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Flip 6 in Korea
Samsung had already started One UI 8.5 Beta testing for the Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Flip 6 a few weeks ago. Now, the official Beta program is finally available. Users in Korea (1, 2) can join the beta to try out One UI 8.5 early and explore the new changes and improvements. Other regions, including the US and the UK, should follow in the coming days. The update also includes the March 2026 security patch.
If you own either device in Korea, you can open the Samsung Members app and look for the beta banner. Register for the program, and you should receive the update shortly. Once available, go to Settings > Software update > Download and install. After downloading, tap Install now to complete the process.
As always, beta software may include bugs and stability issues. You may want to create a backup of your important files and data before installing the update.
Samsung is expected to release more beta builds for these devices to fix bugs based on user feedback. More devices are also likely to join the One UI 8.5 Beta program soon. This wider rollout could impact the stable release timeline, possibly pushing it closer to May.
Let’s see how things unfold in the coming weeks. We will keep you updated with the latest information for your Galaxy.
