Samsung is expected to unveil the Galaxy Z Fold 8, Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra and Galaxy Z Flip 8 at its next Galaxy Unpacked event on July 22, 2026, in London. While the company hasn’t confirmed the date yet, multiple reports now point to this timeline. Now, shipment tracking data gives us a clearer picture of availability.
Galaxy Z Fold 8, Z Fold 8 Ultra and Z Flip 8 could hit stores starting August 5
According to information shared by PriceBee, Samsung is targeting August 5 for retail release. This is likely when pre-order deliveries begin and stores start receiving stock. The date isn’t final, but an early August rollout now looks very likely for the Galaxy Z Fold 8, Z Fold 8 Ultra, Z Flip 8 as well as Galaxy Watch 9 and Galaxy Watch Ultra 2.

By now, most of you would know already that Samsung is changing its foldable lineup this year. The Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra could take over as the main large-format model, while the regular Galaxy Z Fold 8 may arrive as a smaller alternative. The Galaxy Z Flip 8 will continue to serve as the clamshell option.
Alongside the foldables, Samsung will introduce Galaxy Watch 9 and Galaxy Watch Ultra 2. Yes, there likely won’t be a Galaxy Watch 9 Classic. Samsung typically launches Classic-branded smartwatches every-other-year, and we can expect to see one in 2027.
Prices are rumored to increase across the lineup, pointing to a more premium positioning this year. If the current timeline holds, Samsung could get its new foldables on shelves well ahead of its usual competition later in the year. Still, none of these details are official yet, and confirmation will come at Unpacked.
