Samsung will likely take the wraps off the Galaxy Watch 9 and Galaxy Watch Ultra 2 alongside its new foldables. The launch event could take place in London on July 22. As we get closer, both the Galaxy Watch 9 and Galaxy Watch Ultra 2 have been spotted on a China certification database.

Galaxy Watch 9 and Galaxy Watch Ultra 2 pop up on China’s CMIIT

Folks over at 91Mobiles have spotted the Galaxy Watch 9 and Galaxy Watch Ultra 2 on China’s CMIIT certification. The two appear with the model numbers SM-L3350 and SM-L7150, respectively. As expected, the “0” suffix confirms they’re meant for the Chinese market. Their appearance doesn’t reveal anything new, but it does confirm they’ve cleared another hurdle ahead of launch.

Both devices have already been spotted on other regulatory databases, including India’s BIS and China’s 3C. Last month, we also revealed their battery capacities. According to that, the Galaxy Watch 9 will come in two variants, 40mm and 44mm, with battery capacities of 382mAh and 435mAh, respectively. As for the Galaxy Watch Ultra 2, it will reportedly feature a 784mAh battery. Both will support 10W wireless charging.

One thing you may have already noticed is that none of these databases mention a Galaxy Watch 9 Classic. One report did suggest that the smartwatch’s codename appeared in a Google app, but so far, there’s no sign that it’s arriving next month.
