Samsung has started expanding the June 2026 security patch rollout to more Galaxy devices as we move closer to the end of the month. Recently, the Galaxy S23 series, Galaxy S23 FE, Galaxy A54, and Galaxy F55 received the latest security maintenance release (SMR) in some regions. The update should reach units worldwide over the next few days.
June 2026 security patch expands to Galaxy S23 Series, S23 FE, A54 and F55
Samsung’s 2023 flagship lineup, the Galaxy S23, S23+, and S23 Ultra, has started receiving the June 2026 security update in South Korea. The update carries build versions ending in FZF1 and weighs over 400MB, depending on the model. Their Fan Edition variant, the Galaxy S23 FE, is also getting this update in Korea. The update arrives with firmware version ending in EZF1.

Moving to Samsung’s mid-range lineup, the Galaxy A54 has started picking up the June patch in Korea with firmware FZF2. Meanwhile, the Galaxy F55 is receiving the same update in India, with the PDA being DZF2.
Unlike the Galaxy S25 series and Fold 7, these devices do not receive any new AI features with this update. For those unaware, Samsung recently introduced features like Prioritize Notifications, Notification Summaries, and File Summaries to its 2025 flagship and foldable devices. Those additions remain exclusive to newer premium models for now and are unlikely to arrive on older Galaxy devices.
As for the June 2026 security patch itself, the update fixes more than 40 vulnerabilities. While there are no major new features, it is still worth installing the update to keep your device secure and protected against the latest threats. You can check for the update by heading to Settings > Software update > Download and install.
Looking ahead, Samsung has already begun Android 17-based One UI 9 testing for some of these devices. However, the stable rollout is still some time away and will likely begin during the final months of the year.
