Galaxy A54 Picks Up May 2026 Security Update

Two weeks of this month have gone by, and Samsung has now started rolling out the latest security update. Earlier today, the Galaxy A55 became the first phone to receive the May 2026 security update, and now the Galaxy A54 is joining in as well.

Samsung is now rolling out the May 2026 security update to the Galaxy A54. The build version is A546EXXSJEZE5 (h/t @A546E_CAU), and the update size is around 286.79MB. It’s still based on One UI 8.0, as the Galaxy A54 hasn’t started receiving the One UI 8.5 update yet, though it is eligible.

Samsung’s May 2026 security update patches 39 vulnerabilities across Android and One UI, including two critical and 27 high-severity issues from the Android Security Bulletin. It also fixes 10 Samsung-specific SVEs, addressing flaws like arbitrary code execution, data exposure, and improper permissions.

If you have a Galaxy A54, you can go ahead and check whether it’s received the latest security update yet. To do that, head to Settings > Software update. If you see an update available, tap Download and install. Then tap Install now, and your phone will boot up running the latest security update.

At the moment, the Galaxy A55 and Galaxy A54 are the only devices receiving the latest security update. In the coming days and weeks, we’ll see it roll out to other eligible devices, which we’ll compile into a list. Stay tuned.
