Samsung Rolls Out Second April 2026 Update for Galaxy A37, A57

Samsung rolled out multiple April updates to the Galaxy S26 series — two new builds in some regions and three in others. Now, the company is pushing a second April update to its 2026 mid-range lineup as well. The Galaxy A37 and A57 are picking up fresh firmware releases with last month’s security patch in some markets.
Galaxy A37 and A57 get second April 2026 update in some regions
Samsung has already detailed its May 2026 security patch for Galaxy devices. This month’s release addresses nearly 40 vulnerabilities, including a few critical ones. However, the company has yet to roll out the update to any model. It is currently prioritising One UI 8.5, which finally hit the stable channel this week.
Meanwhile, Samsung is pushing multiple April updates to Galaxy devices that shipped with One UI 8.5 out of the box. The Galaxy S26 series picked up two or three April builds, depending on the region. The most recent one contains camera optimizations, though the official changelog only mentions system stability and reliability improvements. A similar update is now rolling out to the Galaxy A57 and A37 as well.
The latest update for the Galaxy A37 carries the firmware build number A376BXXU2AZD5. The OTA package weighs 358MB, though the file size and build version may vary by region. The same applies to the Galaxy A57. It isn’t clear what Samsung is pushing to the two mid-range models. It could be software optimizations for a smoother everyday performance.
It’s unclear if Samsung plans to roll out this update globally. The company could bundle the optimizations with the May security patch in some regions. We should get a clearer picture in the coming days. Meanwhile, if you are using a Galaxy A57 or Galaxy A37, go check for updates from Settings > Software update > Download and install.
