As we approach the end of April, Samsung seems focused on rolling out more One UI 8.5 beta updates and April 2026 security patches before officially shifting to the stable One UI 8.5 rollout. For that matter, the Galaxy A15 5G, Galaxy A36 and Galaxy Tab A11+ have joined the April 2026 security update party.

Samsung expands April 2026 security update to Galaxy A15 5G, Galaxy A36 and Galaxy Tab A11+

Starting with the Galaxy A15 5G. The device is now receiving the April 2026 security patch after its successor, the Galaxy A16 5G, which got it last week. The rollout has started in South Korea with the build number A156LKSSACZDC. As of now, there is no information regarding the 4G variant.

Moving to the Galaxy A36, Samsung has now started rolling out the April 2026 security patch for the device in Korea. Its sibling, the Galaxy A56, received the update earlier this month, while the Galaxy A36 was left out until now. The build version in question is A366NKSS6BZD8.

Samsungโ€™s latest midrange tablet, the Galaxy Tab A11+, has also joined the rollout. This marks the deviceโ€™s third update since launch. The tablet is now receiving the April 2026 patch in South Korea as well with the build version X236NKOS4AZD5 for the 5G variant.

The April 2026 update fixes 47 vulnerabilities identified by Samsung, Google and partner companies. While it does not bring any major new features, it improves security, stability and overall user safety.

Looking ahead, Samsung is expected to begin the stable One UI 8.5 rollout for the Galaxy S25 series very soon, possibly tomorrow. After that, the company should gradually expand the update to more eligible devices. Midrange phones and tablets like the Galaxy A15 5G, Galaxy A36 and Galaxy Tab A11+ could start receiving the Android 16 QPR2-based One UI 8.5 update around May or June, based on Samsungโ€™s expected rollout pattern.

If you own any of these Galaxy devices, you can check for the update by going to Settings > Software update > Download and install. Once downloaded, tap Install now. Make sure your device has enough battery and is not overheating before starting the installation.
