Samsung has already begun One UI 9 development for a wide range of Galaxy devices, from newly launched models to older ones. Now, the company is expanding Android 17 testing to even more smartphones and tablets. Recently, the Galaxy A15 5G, A27, A36, Tab S10 Lite and Tab A11 have appeared with internal One UI 9 builds. This shows that development is progressing steadily.

Samsung prepares One UI 9 for more Galaxy A series devices and tablets

Starting with the smartphones. Samsung has begun preparing One UI 9 for the newly launched Galaxy A27, which will receive Android 17 as its first major software update. Meanwhile, the older Galaxy A15 5G and A36 have also joined One UI 9 development. So far, Samsung has only started testing the upcoming software on the global “B” variants. However, more regional models are expected to follow in the coming weeks.

Moving to the tablet lineup. As shared by Fahad, One UI 9 files for the cellular variants of the Galaxy Tab S10 Lite and Tab A11 have also appeared on servers. These builds carry the July 2026 security patch level.

For those interested in the build details, the firmware numbers are listed below:

  • Galaxy A27: A276BXXU2BZG4
  • Galaxy A15 5G: A156BXXUAFZG2
  • Galaxy A36: A366BXXUADZG1
  • Galaxy Tab S10 Lite: X406BXXU5DZG1
  • Galaxy Tab A11: X135FXXU4CZG1

Unlike One UI 8.5, which introduced several noticeable additions, One UI 9 is expected to focus more on refinement than major new features. Samsung appears to be polishing the overall interface. The company is also improving consistency across the system, enhancing blur effects, and making animations smoother to deliver a cleaner and more refined user experience.

For now, all eyes remain on Samsung’s upcoming Galaxy Unpacked event in London, where the company will unveil the Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra, Galaxy Z Fold 8 (Wide), and Galaxy Z Flip 8. The new foldables will debut with One UI 9 out of the box. This will give us our first complete look at Samsung’s next major software update.
