With most Good Lock apps now ready for One UI 9, Samsung has started updating the Good Guardians suite. All six Good Guardians modules recently received new updates, enhancing compatibility with Samsung’s Android 17-based software. The new versions should show up for all eligible users in the coming days.
Samsung’s Good Guardians apps receive One UI 9 updates
Following the release of the first One UI 9 Beta for the Galaxy S26 series, Samsung has been steadily updating its app ecosystem to ensure smooth functioning on the new software. The Good Lock suite of customization apps is almost ready for Android 17, with only HomeUp, NotiStar, and Game Booster+ now needing updates.
Meanwhile, Samsung has now released One UI 9-compatible updates for Good Guardians modules. First reported by Tarun Vats on X, all six apps in the suite have picked up new updates, including Battery Guardian, Battery Tracker, Galaxy App Booster, Thermal Guardian, Memory Guardian, and Media File Guardian. They all carry the same build version (9.0.07).
It isn’t immediately clear if the apps get new features, though. The updates primarily add compatibility with One UI 9, allowing the modules to work properly on devices running Samsung’s latest software. We will let you know if we discover any major new additions.
For the uninitiated, Good Guardians is Samsung’s collection of advanced device optimization tools for Galaxy smartphones. These apps let users monitor battery health, improve app performance, manage thermal behavior, optimize memory, and access other system-level utilities beyond what’s available in the standard Device Care app.
Just like Good Lock, Good Guardians uses a modular system with separately downloadable modules. However, the suite still isn’t as widely available as Good Lock. Hopefully, Samsung will release it in more markets with One UI 9. Stay tuned.
