Samsung has already begun One UI 9 testing for a wide range of Galaxy devices. Now the Galaxy A57 has appeared on Geekbench running Android 17-based One UI 9. While the benchmark scores do not suggest any major performance improvements, the listing confirms that Samsung is actively testing the next major software update for the device.

Galaxy A57 runs Android 17 on Geekbench database

We have now spotted the US factory-unlocked Galaxy A57 (SM-A576U1) on the Geekbench platform running One UI 9. The device carries 8GB RAM and firmware version A576U1UEU3BZFB. This appears to be Samsung’s latest internal test build. It achieved a single-core score of 1,388 and a multi-core score of 4,541. The scores are largely in line with the device’s current performance. This suggests that Android 17 is focused more on software refinements than raw performance gains.

Samsung kicked off One UI 9 development for the Galaxy A57 last month. This Geekbench listing is another sign that development is progressing steadily. As we move closer to the rollout for existing Galaxy devices, which is expected to begin during the final months of the year, more benchmark listings should start appearing.

The Galaxy A57 launched earlier this year with One UI 8.5 out of the box. This makes One UI 9 its first major Android upgrade. While users should not expect a significant boost in benchmark performance, Samsung may further refine the overall experience with a cleaner interface, smoother animations, improved blur effects and better system consistency.

As for the One UI 9 beta program, the Galaxy A57 and its younger sibling, the Galaxy A37, could receive beta updates in the coming months. However, nothing is set in the stone, as no beta firmware has surfaced for either device. For now, the One UI 9 beta program remains exclusive to the Galaxy S26 series.
