June Update May Bring One UI 8.5 Notification Features to Galaxy S25

Recent internal developments suggested that Samsung could be preparing a more substantial June update for the Galaxy S25 series than usual. Now, a reliable Samsung tipster has shared new details that further support those expectations. The upcoming update may introduce new AI-powered notification management features to the S25 lineup.

Galaxy S25 could get some missing One UI 8.5 features with the June update

According to Tarun Vats, Samsung may introduce Notification Highlights, a Galaxy AI tool, to the Galaxy S25 lineup with the June update. This feature includes Priority Notifications and Summarize Notifications. As the name suggests, the former shows important notifications at the top. The latter, on the other hand, provides a short summary of conversational notifications for easy digestion.

Designed to help users better manage notification overload, Samsung introduced these AI tools with One UI 8.5 on the Galaxy S26 series. However, the company inexplicably removed the features from the One UI 8.5 update for its 2025 flagships. It appears the next update may bring them to S25 users as well.

Besides Notification Highlights, the Galaxy S25’s One UI 8.5 update arrived with many other missing features. These include Now Nudge, 24MP camera mode, fingerprint accuracy booster, Video softening, and more. It remains to be seen if any of these make the cut for the June update, which should arrive in a few weeks.

Of course, as the tipster says, this is not set in stone just yet. Until we have official confirmation, you should take this information with some caution. Even if Samsung is currently testing new features for the Galaxy S25 lineup, it could drop those anytime and only release the latest security fixes with the June update.
