Samsung May Be Preparing a Big June Update for Galaxy S25 Series

After rolling out One UI 8.5 earlier this month, Samsung may be preparing another feature release for the Galaxy S25 series. The company is currently testing the June update for the phones, and it appears to be bigger than a regular security patch. Unfortunately, we can’t confirm what additional changes it brings yet. Maybe the missing One UI 8.5 features, or the new fingerprint accuracy tool that recently rolled out to the Galaxy S25 FE.

Galaxy S25’s June update may bring more new features

Samsung ommited several expected features from the One UI 8.5 update for the Galaxy S25 series. These include the new 24MP shooting mode, Horizontal Lock, Now Nudge, and Notification Highlights. Speed and sensitivity controls, Video softening, and a few other camera tools are also missing despite no hardware limitations. Even the May security patch, which arrived a couple of weeks after One UI 8.5, didn’t bring them.

Now, Samsung is praparing the June patch for the S25 lineup, and the latest internal test build reveals something interesting. As reported by @Alfaturk16 on X, the new build version for the Galaxy S25 Ultra is S938NKSUACZEB, which suggests a bigger release than a regular security update. The “U” in the build number (sixth character from last) hints at a feature release, as security patches are denoted by “S”.

Of course, this is still no confirmation that the June 2026 update will bring the missing One UI 8.5 features to the Galaxy S25 series. However, we may see some new additions, unless Samsung drops them from the final build and only rolls out the new security fixes. At the very least, the devices could get the new fingerprint accuracy booster that debuted with the S26 lineup. This feature rolled out to the Galaxy S25 FE with the May patch.
