Samsung is preparing to expand its premium tablet lineup with the Galaxy Tab S12 series later this year. Ahead of launch, the Plus model has now surfaced in another regulatory database. The new listing not only confirms the device’s continued progress toward release but also includes a live image, offering an early glimpse at its design.
Galaxy Tab S12+ Takes Another Step Toward Launch
Folks over at 91mobiles recently spotted the upcoming Samsung Galaxy Tab S12+ on the official website of the Indian regulatory body, BIS. The listing includes model numbers SM-X840 and SM-X846B, which correspond to the Wi-Fi and 5G variants of the device, respectively. Although the filing doesn’t reveal any hardware specifications, it strongly suggests that Samsung’s next premium tablet is inching closer to launch.

Separately, the Galaxy Tab S12+ also appeared on the Safety Korea database with model numbers SM-X840 and SM-X846N. The latter is the Korean variant of the same tablet with 5G connectivity. This time we also have a live image of the device. The image showcases slim, uniform bezels around the display and a centered front-facing camera along the landscape edge, suggesting Samsung is retaining the familiar premium design seen on its recent flagship tablets.
There have been reports of the company exploring a punch-hole camera design for its premium tablets. However, the Galaxy Tab S12+ doesn’t appear to get a new look. It still has a thick bezel all around, with the selfie camera housed within the bezel. Maybe Samsung has a punch-hole camera planned for the Tab S12 Ultra; we shall find out soon.

Meanwhile, Samsung’s steady stream of certifications underscores the Galaxy Tab S12 series imminent launch and fuels excitement among fans. The devices are expected to go official in the final months of the year, possibly between September and October. We will keep you posted.
