Samsung is expanding the rollout of its second April 2026 update for the Galaxy S26 series to more regions. After debuting in South Korea last week, the update has now reached European units. It brings a key camera fix, likely along with additional bug patches and performance optimizations.

The latest Galaxy S26 Ultra update addresses a camera issue

The highlight of this release is a fix for a frustrating bug that affected 24MP close-up photos on the Galaxy S26 Ultra, particularly when Focus Enhancer is enabled. While the camera preview looked perfectly normal, the final processed image would end up incorrectly cropped from one side. The issue didn’t occur during framing, but it only appeared after processing, making it particularly annoying and hard to anticipate.

Samsung is now rolling out a fix for this issue with the latest update. As mentioned above, the second April 2026 update for the Galaxy S26, S26+, and S26 Ultra has already been released in South Korea. Now, European units are receiving it too, with firmware version AZDE X/tarunvats33(via ). A wider global rollout may follow soon, ensuring consistency across markets.

Alongside the said camera fix, the update may also bundle general camera tuning, stability improvements, and minor bug fixes. If you’re using a Galaxy S26 device, you can check for the update manually by navigating to Settings > Software update > Download and install. As always, availability may vary slightly depending on your region and carrier, but the rollout is clearly picking up pace.

Samsung is also expected to soon release the May 2026 security patch for the Galaxy S26 lineup. It could club the camera fix with the new security update in some regions. We will keep you posted.
