Samsung Galaxy Weekly Updates Roundup (April 19-26)

This month has been full of One UI 8.5 beta updates, and this week was no different. Samsung released new beta updates for several devices, including the Galaxy S25 lineup, Galaxy S24 series, Galaxy S24 FE, Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Galaxy Z Fold 6. On the security side, the April 2026 security patch update expanded to more Galaxy devices across different regions. Last updated on April 25.
Samsung releases new One UI 8.5 beta updates while April 2026 patch rollout continues
Starting with the Galaxy S25 lineup. Samsung rolled out the tenth One UI 8.5 beta update for its 2025 flagship series. In markets like India, this same update is labelled as Beta 9. This was expected to be the final beta update, and a stable release should follow soon, likely by next week.
Samsung also released the One UI 8.5 Beta 4 update for the Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Galaxy Z Flip 7, bringing newer builds and a smoother experience. Alongside this, the Galaxy S24 series, Galaxy S25 FE, Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Galaxy Z Flip 6 received the One UI 8.5 Beta 3 update in select regions. Some models could see more beta updates soon as newer builds have already appeared on internal servers.
The company is also expanding Galaxy AI features, previously debuted with the Galaxy S26 lineup to these flagship and foldable devices. It includes features like Call Screening, Creative Studio and improvements to Audio Eraser and Photo Assist.
Now coming to security updates. Similar to the past few weeks, Samsung focused on expanding the April 2026 security patch to more devices. It fixes 47 vulnerabilities identified by Samsung, Google and its partners. Here is the list of devices that received the update:

Samsung also rolled out older security patches to a few devices like the Galaxy A17 4G and Galaxy A16 4G in some regions.

To check for updates on your device, go to Settings > Software update > Download and install. Once downloaded, tap Install now.
That said, we could see more One UI 8.5 beta activity next week. More importantly, the stable One UI 8.5 update for the Galaxy S25 series could start rolling out in South Korea soon, marking a shift from beta to stable releases.
