New One UI 8.5 Beta Updates also Available for Galaxy Z Flip 7, Flip 6, Fold 6

As expected, Samsung is kicking off the day with a flurry of One UI 8.5 beta updates. After the Galaxy S25, S24, and Fold 7, new beta builds are available for the Galaxy Z Flip 7, Flip 6, and Fold 6. It’s the fourth beta release for the Z7 lineup, and the third for the Z6 models. More devices could join the party in the coming days.
Galaxy Z Flip 7, Flip 6, and Fold 6 get fresh One UI 8.5 beta updates
Samsung’s latest beta releases carry the same firmware build version for all devices. The company is pushing the ZZDD build to Galaxy S flagships as well as Galaxy Z foldables. The update size varies depending on the model and region, but mostly weighs between 800MB and 1GB. The devices remain on the April 2026 security patch.
Alongside a bunch of bug fixes, the updates bring new AI features and improvements introduced with the Galaxy S26 series. Call Screening, which can filter unknown callers, is finally expanding to older devices, and so is the upgraded Photo Assist, which now supports image edits using simple text prompts.
There’s also Creative Studio for more advanced content editing (it’s an upgraded version of Drawing Assist). Additionally, Galaxy devices are getting an upgraded Audio Eraser that can remove background noise from videos in third-party apps in real time. Note that some features may not be available on certain models or offer limited functionality due to hardware constraints.
Leaks suggest that the latest beta release for the Galaxy S25 series could be its final. Samsung may now roll out the stable version of One UI 8.5, possibly later this month. A wider release for all recent flagships and folables could begin in May. There may be a few more beta builds for some devices, though the company may not extend the beta program much longer now. Stay tuned for further updates.
