Samsung Updates Camera Assistant Ahead of Galaxy S26 Launch

This week, Samsung will host its Galaxy Unpacked event on Wednesday. At the event, the company will officially announce the Galaxy S26 series and debut the One UI 8.5 update. As we get closer to the big day, the latest version of Good Lock’s Camera Assistant module is now rolling out.

Camera Assistant v4.5.00.19 rolling out with One UI 8.5 and Galaxy S26 support

As spotted by Tarun Vats, the latest Camera Assistant v4.5.00.19 update is now rolling out for users running One UI 8.5. The upcoming firmware is currently available in beta for the Galaxy S25 trio, while the stable version will debut with the Galaxy S26 series. With this update, the Camera Assistant app is now compatible with One UI 8.5 as well as the Galaxy S26 series.

Thankfully, the update changelog outlines the changes in Camera Assistant v4.5.00.19, which are as follows:

  • Touch AF/AE in Pro video mode
  • Focus peaking in pro modes
  • Auto focus speed and sensitivity
  • Swipe Shutter button
  • 24 MP resolution
  • Advanced Photo mode controls
  • Optical image stabilization (OIS)
  • Video softening
  • 8K recording when mirroring
  • Presets in Pro mode
  • Customize indicators
  • TILTA wireless lens controller
  • Additional modes

That said, you can start using the latest Camera Assistant v4.5.00.19 if you have a Galaxy S25 model and are enrolled in the One UI 8.5 beta program. Otherwise, you’ll need to wait for the Galaxy S26 series to start shipping before you can buy the phone and enjoy these features.
