Samsung Releases June 2026 Update for Galaxy A56 and A55

Samsung has begun rolling out its June 2026 software update to the Galaxy A56 and A55. The latest release is currently available in South Korea and should gradually expand to more markets over the coming days. The update arrives just a few weeks after the company delivered One UI 8.5 to the premium mid-range duo.
Galaxy A56 and A55 get security fixes with the June update
As expected, the new firmware focuses on security and system reliability rather than introducing new features. Samsung has already revealed that its June 2026 Security Maintenance Release (SMR) includes fixes for more than 40 vulnerabilities affecting Android and Galaxy devices. The update helps improve overall device security and protection against potential threats.
The Galaxy A56 and A55 already received their major One UI 8.5 upgrade last month, bringing a refreshed user experience and several software enhancements. The devices are also in line for One UI 9 (Android 17) later this year, possibly around October. Samsung recently started working on the next big update for these phones.
The latest release, meanwhile, is all about security and stability enhancements. Galaxy A56 users in Korea are getting the June 2026 update with the firmware build number A566SKSS7CZF2. That for the Galaxy A55 is A556SKSS8DZF2. The update should expand to more markets soon, though the build numbers may vary.
To check for the update manually, head to Settings > Software update > Download and install. If the firmware isn’t available yet, it should arrive automatically once Samsung expands the rollout to your region. The June 2026 update has already hit recent Galaxy flagships and should reach more Galaxy devices in the coming days. We will keep you posted.
