Samsung’s Now Brief is a Galaxy AI feature available on high-end devices. It gives users a quick overview of their day, including reminders, health reports, alerts, and news. It can be accessed from the lockscreen and provides timely updates in a simple format. With One UI 9, Samsung may improve this feature by adding more useful information, including a weekly weather forecast.

One UI 9 Now Brief may add weekly weather and new visual improvements

One UI 9 could introduce a new card in Now Brief that shows the weather for the entire week. Currently, users can only see the weather for the present day (and tap to visit weather.com for a detailed forecast). With this change, you may be able to view today’s weather along with a full weekly forecast in one place. This is similar to the Weather app, but integrated directly into Now Brief for quick access.

Samsung may also add new background visuals and themes to improve the overall experience. These backgrounds could change dynamically, possibly based on conditions like the weather. For example, you might see light blue, soft pink, or darker tones depending on the environment, making the interface feel more lively and visually appealing. However, it is not yet clear if this will actually depend on real-time weather conditions.

With this update, Now Brief will be more useful than ever. While there’s still plenty of room for improvement in Now Brief and Now Bar, Samsung is definitely headed in the right direction. One UI 9, based on Android 17, is still several months away. It should debut with the new foldables in July, followed by a wider rollout for existing models later in the year. We expect more leaks in the coming months, so stay tuned.

Thanks, Dennaty!
