Samsung has officially rolled out the One UI 9 Beta Program (Android 17) for the Galaxy S26 series. Interested users in South Korea, Germany, the US, and the UK can now join the program via the Samsung Members app. The remaining two eligible markets, Poland and India, will get beta access during the second wave later this month.

Galaxy S26 series gets its first One UI 9 Beta update

Samsung’s first One UI 9 beta build for the Galaxy S26, S26+, and S26 Ultra comes with firmware version ZZEF. The update carries a download size of over 3.6GB for the Ultra model (via X/tarunvats33) and includes the May 2026 security patch. The exact file size and build version may vary depending on the model and region.

One UI 9 continues to refine Samsung’s custom UI experience with subtle design tweaks, optimizations, and new features. The company offers deeper customizations and a more integrated experience that feels simple and intuitive. The update is also expected to bring new AI tools, though the first beta may not include those.

Samsung has already confirmed that One UI 9 Beta will roll out in Germany, South Korea, the US, and the UK in the first wave. The second wave (Beta 2), which begins on May 26, will bring the update to Poland and India. Like before, no other markets are getting beta access to Samsung’s Android 17-based update.

As for eligible devices, the Galaxy S25 series, Fold 7, Flip 7, and several other models, including some tablets and mid-range phones, should get beta programs in the coming months. Samsung is expected to introduce One UI 9 with its new foldables in late July. The stable rollout for existing devices may begin a few weeks later, possibly around September. We will keep you posted as the company pushes more beta builds.
