Samsung Reveals When Second One UI 9 Beta Update Will Roll Out

Samsung recently confirmed the launch of its One UI 9 beta program, which brings Android 17, for the Galaxy S26 series later this week. Now, the company has also revealed when the second beta update will arrive. There’s still no official word on beta releases for other devices.

Samsung confirms One UI 9 Beta 2 release on May 26

For years, Samsung has run One UI beta programs in South Korea, Germany, the UK, the US, India, and Poland. The company has no intention of expanding into additional markets this year. The Galaxy S26 series will get One UI 9 Beta in the same six countries.

Moreover, Samsung is sticking to its usual rollout pattern, meaning the initial launch this week will be restricted to the first four countries. Interested users in India and Poland will have to wait for the second wave (Beta 2) to join. The good news is that we know exactly when the second beta will arrive. Details hidden in the footnotes of Samsung’s official press release, first spotted by Tarun Vats, reveal that Beta 2 rolls out on May 26.

So, users with a Galaxy S26, S26+, or S26 Ultra in South Korea, Germany, the UK, and the US can join One UI 9 Beta later this week, but those in India and Poland will have to wait a couple of weeks more. Samsung is also expected to launch beta programs for more devices in the coming months. As usual, enrolments open through the Samsung Members app. 

Galaxy users in the rest of the world, however, do not get beta access, meaning they must wait for the stable release. Samsung should launch the Galaxy Z Fold 8 and Flip 8 with One UI 9 in late July. The update may roll out for existing devices around September or October. We will keep you posted.
