Samsung has started widening the reach of One UI 8.5, rolling out the update for non-beta users as well. The Galaxy S25 series, Fold 7, Flip 7, TriFold, and a few others are getting the big update in Korea. A global rollout may begin later this week.

One UI 8.5 update now available for non-beta Galaxy devices

Earlier today, Samsung released the stable One UI 8.5 update for the Galaxy S25, S25+, S25 Ultra, S25 FE, Fold 7, and Flip 7 units running a beta build in Korea. The company has now rolled out the update for users who skipped the beta program. Additionally, the update is available for some devices that never received beta access, including the Galaxy S25 Edge, Galaxy Z TriFold, and Flip 7 FE.

These are the first devices to jump straight from One UI 8.0 to One UI 8.5. The build number varies depending on the model. The Galaxy S25 FE and the three foldables debuted with One UI 8.0, so this is their first major feature update. The Galaxy S25 trio and the S25 Edge, meanwhile, shipped with One UI 7.0 and were later updated to One UI 8.0. This is the second big update for those.

This expansion also suggests that Samsung is almost done testing One UI 8.5 for all devices, even those that didn’t have a public beta release. The company may now quickly bring the big update to more models. Devices currently on beta are likely to get priority access to the stable build. However, it may not be long before the floodgates fully open.

Galaxy users can always check for new updates on their devices from Settings > Software update > Download and install. Since Samsung releases updates in batches, users in some regions may have to wait longer than others.
